Meet Jared's Fund
Jared's Fund was established by the family of Jared Zimmerman (1995-2016) to celebrate his spirit. Their mission is to challenge the stigma associated with mental illness, especially by enabling young people to use their creativity and vision to lead such efforts. Jared's Fund Youth Fellowship provides summer funding to selected current and former students of Montclair High School to pursue projects that focus on mental health. Meet Boomerang Bags
Boomerang Bags was founded in Australia in 2013 by 2 women who wanted to tackle plastic bag pollution at the grassroots level. Now it's a global initiative and Montclair is a designated Boomerang Bags Community! Volunteers gather to sew reusable Boomerang Bags from donated material. Stop by the market on Saturday, August 17 to meet the Montclair Boomerang Bags team and learn how you can help.
Donations of fabric and sewing machines will be happily accepted, bring them to the market and drop them off at our table which will be under the non-profit tent.
